V V Records is extremely proud to present Montreal Jazz & Blues Plus!. Since last year the V V roster has mushroomed to include 14 artists. Many styles are represented: blues, jazz, reggae, world, folk and latin among others. Montreal Jazz & Blues Plus! is a CD ROM feast, with bio notes and over 170 photos of the artists. In addition there are seven live videos of artists in concert. Such extensive use of CD-ROM technology is unprecedented in the music industry.

ALEX BELLEGARDE is one of Montreal’s most happening – and happiest – new wave of jazz bassists, featured here with his quartet.
Apart from playing keyboards with JAH CHILDREN, DAN BEATS has been writing and singing his own spirited brand of reggae for as long as he can remember.
4 BRASS: The Formula One of trumpet combos, featuring their acclaimed tribute to composer/arranger Bill Chase.
A legendary singer in his native Cuba, CHIQUITIN has performed with Benny More, Ibrahim Ferrer, Mundito Gonzalez, El Guayabero and Raquel Hernandez. Need we say more?
Composer/pianist YOEL DIAZ`s explosive brand of latin jazz prooves him among the best in the genre.
DEAN COTTRILL`s roots include a lot of traditions; here he gives a sample of two of his more pop-genre items.
Singer GERALDINE HUNT is an internationally acclaimed artist in the tradition of the great divas of jazz.
JAH CHILDREN is one of the most enduring groups in Canada, featuring SINGER JUDAH`s irresistible feel for reggae.
LE JAZZ BIG BAND has been VIC VOGEL`s pride and joy for 35 years and his principal instrument as composer, arranger and pianist, and features the elite of Montreal`s jazz instrumentalists. By the way, that`s Vic’s trombone on SINGER JUDAH`s Eye for an Eye.
Singer/songwriter MIRA`s voice evokes all that is sensuous and intimate.
RJ & THE HOUNDOGS are featured here in a cajun departure from the driving rock/blues they`re best known for.
CHUCHO VALDES`s mastery of the keyboard is in plain evidence here in his Concerto Yoruba and Gershwin`s Liza. A colossus of jazz!
